A message from our new principal Mr. Brian Berg:

Hello and welcome to the 19-20' school year at Montessori Peaks Academy.  I am very humbled to be chosen as the next principal of MPA.

First, I wanted to let parents know how amazing the MPA staff has been in welcoming me this Summer.  For over, 25 years I have been around public schools and never have seen so many staff members working in the school over the summer to get ready for the upcoming year.  The dedication here at MPA is second to none!  This was one of the many reasons I wanted to be a part of the MPA family.  This is a special place, with a special community, special families, special students and special staff.  My goals are simple, to enhance the Montessori experience for students and families at MPA.  One of my main roles of the principalship is to “Champion a Culture of Excellence” by supporting staff and teachers to develop their educational craft to higher levels.  The culture at MPA has a great foundation and I really appreciate the leadership of Dr. Gary in developing a deeper culture of excellence here at MPA.

As principal of MPA, I will seek input from all sources including families, students and community to embrace the challenges of improvement, as well as, to enhance the beautiful work of the Montessori values and traditions.  I strongly believe in everyone can contribute to the school family, no matter of age.  All voices matter.  At the upcoming Back to School Barbecue I encourage parents and students to add your voice to the HCM architect firm booth about how to improve the MPA campus with Jeffco 5B bond monies awarded to the school.  Hopefully, I can meet many families at the Back to School Barbecue as well.  My promise is to be a visible leader and I encourage you to seek me out and introduce yourselves.  We are in this education journey together!

Lastly, my favorite quote so far of Maria Montessori is, “Peace is what every human being is craving for, and it can be brought about by humanity through the child.” The world around us and especially in traditional schools the concept is peace, grace and courtesy are very far removed.  This I know so well from my previous educational journey and I am so fortunate to get to work with a Board of Directors, staff, parents and students who all want peace and progress. I feel very blessed to join the MPA family and will do my best to listen and lead as we move forward together.

Peace and Progress,

Mr. Brian
